Today, I’m excited to share with you my newest ebooks for beginning pianists and piano teachers!
Most piano method books teach students to play and read music based around certain hand positions. Middle C Position is a common hand position for beginning pianists.
While it can feel a bit crowded with both thumbs sharing Middle C, it makes a lot of sense.
Middle C is the central note and the notes move outwards from Middle C.
Reading the notes in Middle C Position on the staff is really logical because each note right hand note has a symmetrical left hand note.
With just 9 notes to learn and remember, Middle C Position is very manageable for new pianists. And, it gives students just a large enough range of notes to learn tons of recognizable and familiar songs.
I tend to use a variety of different approaches when teaching my own students, but I’ve always noticed that when I present music in Middle C Position, students latch on to it and find success with it very easily and quickly.
This inspired me to collect simple songs that can be played in Middle C Position and arrange them into 2 ebooks for beginning pianists.
I always like to find songs that will appeal to both kids and adults so I’ve compiled 2 ebooks of Middle C Position songs – one that features kids music and another with classics and folk tunes suitable for adult piano learners.
Here are the songs that are found in each book:
- A Tisket, A Tasket
- Baby Bumblebee
- Baby Shark
- Down By The Station
- Five Little Monkeys
- Head Shoulders Knees And Toes
- I’m A Little Teapot
- The Ants Go Marching
- The Farmer In The Dell
- Au Clair De La Lune
- Bridal Chorus
- Camptown Races
- Eine Kleine Nachtmusik
- Happy Birthday
- L’il Liza Jane
- Minuet In G
You can purchase each of these ebooks either as an individual license for a single user or as a studio license which allows you to duplicate the book as many times as you would like.
