Have you always wanted to play the piano?

Good news – it’s not too late!

Teaching adult beginners has always been one of my passions as a piano teacher. I love your curiosity, your motivation and your conscientious approach to the piano. I truly want to help you reach any musical goals that you have, but most importantly I want to help you learn to discover the joy and beauty that making music brings to your life.

You’re in exactly the right place – today will mark the beginning of your journey ! I’ll provide everything you need to learn the piano at home. All you need is an instrument to play on and a desire to learn.

(If you don’t have an instrument yet, this is one that I highly recommend for beginners because of it’s affordability and portability and it’s authentic feel and sound.)

Let’s get started!

The first song I want to show you requires absolutely no previous music background or knowledge. Just bring your laptop, tablet or phone to a piano and jump right in!

Our first song is a super fun “call and response” song called Comeback by Will Baily.

Watch this video of me playing it:

If you’re ready to try to play Comeback yourself, you can play the audio file below. It’s important to remember that there are no right or wrong in this song. The idea is to use your creativity, explore the piano and get used to playing the piano keys.

If you need a few ideas about how to approach playing Comeback, watch this next video:

I have a lot of great music in store for you to learn on your journey. Most songs we learn will be an interactive experience where you will get to perform music along with fun and energizing audio tracks. You can play these audio files right here from this page and you’ll also have the option to download to play them from any device that you choose.

Watch this video to learn more about how these backing tracks work.

Alright, are you ready to learn your another song?

Before you play this song, you need to know 3 quick facts about the piano to get situated:

Ok, now you’re ready to learn Outdoor Adventure by Will Baily.

For this song, you need to set up your fingers 2-3-4 in each hand on a group of 3 black keys.

Have a listen to Outdoor Adventure:

Watch the video below to learn how to play Outdoor Adventure

Here’s the audio file for Outdoor Adventure when you’re ready to play along yourself:

Go ahead and try to play along with the audio file if you’re ready. But, it’s ok if you’re not. Here are some ways to prepare to play along with the file.

Play Comeback and Outdoor Adventure until they feel easy and comfortable. Once you get the hang of them, keep playing, because they’re fun songs!

There you go – your first piano lesson! How did it go?
