Meet An RMM Student: Roger

Uncategorized

This post is part of a series of interviews of RMM (Recreational Music Making) students.  Roger began learning piano using the RMM approach in February 2011.

What made you decide to start taking piano at this point in your life?
I wanted to prove to myself that I can do new things to stay vital in my semi-retirement.

How did you feel before you began?
Curious.

What has surprised you about learning piano?
How it just comes if you stay with it.

What is the best part about learning piano?
It’s fun.

What is the hardest part about learning piano?
Making myself practice every day.  Sometimes – but not often – it feels like a chore.

How has music made your life better?
To not just listen to music but to make music has opened up a whole new dimension in life.
